On behalf of Greece, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia are the two partners of the Erasmus+ KA3 Project ‘Building School-Wide Inclusive, Positive and Equitable Learning Environments Through A Systems-Change Approach’ (code: 606687-EPP-1-2018-2-CY-EPPKA3-PI-POLICY).
On July 30, 2022, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia, an anniversary event was held at the Noesis Science Center & Technology Museum. Former and current education officials, as well as representatives of the State, attended the event. The guests were informed, among other topics, about the purpose and objectives of the research program as well as the procedures for implementing SWPBS Tier 1 procedures in 30 primary of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia during 2019 – 2022.
Also, in the context of the project dissemination, the positive research results from the implementation of the intervention program for both teachers and students who implemented the intervention program were briefly presented. Furthermore, based on the encouraging results during the three-year implementation of the program, the guests were informed that 30 more Greek primary schools started to implement SWPBS Tier 1 procedures. Finally, the initiative of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Central Macedonia to extend the implementation of the program to the first grade of middle schools (secondary education) starting from the 2022-2023 school year was announced.
