Erasmus SWPBS Project was presented in the first online PBS-Europe network international conference held in November 11th-13th 2020. The network is dedicated to following the science and principles of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) as well as utilize its applications in a culturally responsive manner to produce meaningful social and socio-emotional changes in the lives of children, teachers and parents across school and community settings in Europe. Conference was jointly organised by PBS-Europe Network and PBS alliance (BILD), which is a PBS-partnership organisation set in the UK. The conference was held for practitioners, researchers, and experts from all around Europe to explore, share and discuss how Positive Behavior Interventions and Support has been implemented in schools throughout Europe and the UK the past ten years and the way forward.
Erasmus SWPBS project researchers Mika Paananen and Anne Karhu held presentations in the conference. Mika Paananen presented the implementation of Check in Check Out (CICO) intervention in Finland, previous results of CICO and CICO Plus research in Finland and the ongoing research in the Erasmus SWPBS -project. Anne Karhu held a presentation about the use of Systematic Direct Observational (SDO) method to collect eficacy data from SWPBS schools.
