Finnish tier 2 and 3 CICO and CICO Plus research in the Erasmus SWPBS - Building School-Wide Inclusive, Positive and Equitable Learning Environments Through A Systems-Change Approach -project was presented in the Nordic SWPBS seminar that was held online in June 9th and 10th 2020. The seminar was organized by the researchers of the University of Jyväskylä for researchers across the Nordic countries (Finland, Denmark, Island, Norway and Sweden) who research and develop the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support in their countries. Seminar was a great place  for sharing and exchanging experiences and results on SWPBIS implementation in the Nordic countries and disvussing challenges and ideas of future areas of collaboration.

Anne Karhu and Mika Paananen presented previous results of CICO and CICO Plus research in Finland and the ongoing research in the Erasmus SWPBS -project. Earlier piloting research showed promising results but the ongoing research aims to gain more information about the effectiveness of the intervention and the maintenance of the intervention results.

In Finland the SWPBS project is being implemented by the University of Jyväskylä together with partner municipalities Kontiolahti, Lappeenranta and Varkaus, with the participation of 30 schools across the municipalities participating in developing the school-wide and individualized support.
